This is a room with a tiled floor. Pushed against the walls of the room are some wooden benches. There are some shelves on a wall on which an old black telephone sits at one end. There are basket trays next to it. Some helmets and messenger bags harking back to World War Two are hanging from a wooden rack on another wall.
In this room, soldiers would change before reporting for their shift work. An Australian war journalist has written that he saw Japanese soldiers using this room as their kitchen just before the Japanese officially surrendered at the end of World War 2.
This room opens into the Telephone Exchange. A door at one end of this room leads to Air Filtration Plant 1.
